OneTV Connect ships a first-class Plex integration, so the same app can show your IPTV channels and your personal Plex library side by side. No HTTP redirector, no toggle between apps — just one home with both worlds. Here is how to wire it up in under two minutes.
Why Plex on top of IPTV?
Most IPTV apps stop at live channels and a thin VOD list. We wanted to keep all your media in one place: the IPTV catalog you already have, and the movies and shows you ripped over the years and curated in Plex. With OneTV Connect, both feeds appear in the home rails — Recently Added from Plex, On Deck, your favorite Plex collections — side by side with your live channels.
Setting up Plex in OneTV Connect
The setup wizard takes care of the OAuth flow with Plex.tv: from Settings → Integrations → Plex, sign in with your Plex account, pick your home server (or a remote one), and OneTV Connect immediately starts indexing libraries. Movies, TV Shows and Music libraries are detected automatically. The first sync happens in the background — you can keep browsing.
Personal library rails on the home
Once Plex is connected, the home screen gains four new rails: Continue Watching (synced from Plex On Deck), Recently Added (last 25 movies + last 25 episodes), Favorite Movies and Favorite Shows. Tapping any item opens the same cinematic detail page used for IPTV VOD — TMDB metadata enriches Plex when missing, and Trakt scrobbles playback events automatically.
Tips for the best experience
Three things make the integration feel native:
- Run Plex on your LAN if possible. OneTV Connect picks the best route — LAN, WAN, then Relay — and falls back gracefully when the Plex server is asleep.
- Enable Trakt sync alongside Plex to get unified history across IPTV channels and your Plex library.
- Use the multi-engine player: KSPlayer for HEVC files, MPV for tricky codecs, VLC for everything else. The app picks automatically.
That's it — your IPTV setup just gained a personal cinema. If you run into any issue, the support page has the full troubleshooting checklist.
